With the 2022-2023 school year just starting out this will be the first normal year of high school for seniors. With this being their first normal year that’s supposed to be filled with fun, and activities I wanted to ask seniors what they expected to experience this year especially with no restrictions as of right now. This year the school published a list of all the activities they’re going to be hosting which can be found through a link on their Instagram page. Some of the activities they listed are Powder Puff Football, Winter Formal, Winter Homecoming, Prom, Senior awards night, Senior trip, and Graduation. 

When talking to Jordan Murphy he said “I want to be a part of all the school activities and make up for the fact that I didn’t have normal first three years of high school; I want to be a part of as many clubs as I can. I’m excited for the rallies the most. I think this year is going to be a lot of fun, especially participating in all of the school events. I think the school events are going to be fun especially when the leadership kids plan it and especially because of my friends participating in everything with me.” 

“I want to keep a GPA above 3.5 this year and try to go to as many games and events as I can, especially because this is my last year. Overall I just want to enjoy my last year. My goal for this year friend wise is trying to hang out with them more before we all graduate and leave. I think the senior events this year are going to be all out because we haven’t had a full senior year for any of the seniors the past three years, so I’m excited to see what they come up with and what it’s like.” Augie Manzano’s main goal is to try and enjoy this year as much as he can and do as much as he can with the time he has left for his last year of highschool. “Overall I think this year will be a good year and I’m excited to see how it goes and how it turns out.” 

“My goal is to have some fun this year, especially because it’s my senior year and I’ve always focused on school and my studies. I want to try and enjoy the time I have as much as I can and make new friends. I hope that I’ll find most of the school events interesting enough to go to them. I’m a rather anti social person , if you know me I’m fine, but if there’s too many people it’s not really something I’m too interested in, but I really just hope they live up to what I’ve heard about senior activities before so overall, I have some high expectations for senior activities this year that I hope I can achieve.” Elijah Armour wants to make this year the most memorable and just have fun this year with his friends. 

Overall, the class of 2023 is excited to see how the senior activities come out this year and they are excited to make this year the best and most fun out of their four years in high school. Most of them all wanted to do something special with their friends and be involved with the school activities more than they ever have before. The class of 2023 has high expectations for their senior year but they definitely feel their expectations will be met with no doubt and are excited to see how this year turns out.
