The Enochs Essence: Episode 36 – SPECIAL! Winter Homecoming Extravaganza!

In this special episide, Enochs Eagle Eye Sports Editor Ansel Mello – a winter homecoming king finalist – is joined in the studio by senior boys basketball players Kila Day, Kevin Rivera, and Mason Galvan and senior cheerleader and Eagle Eye staffer Ava Gammon to discuss Enochs’ soaring season and the upcoming Winter Homecoming game. Be sure to attend the game against Pitman on Friday at 7:30 p.m. inside of the Enochs gymnasium.

Anah Khan, Editor-In-Chief

Anah Khan, a part of the Class Of 2025, is serving as Editor-In-Chief of the Eagle Eye for her second year now. She'll be regulating things like article publication, podcast pacing, and social media management in order to set The Eagle Eye up for success as a publication! Outside of Journalism, Anah is President of Enochs' Model United Nations club and co-president of Women In Gold as well as the SSD Pathway. When she gets time to herself, Anah enjoys reading impactful novels, drawing, spending time with her family or even just scrolling on Pinterest. She plans on attending a 4-year college to major in a STEM field that impacts her community. What Anah loves about Journalism: What really makes me feel empowered as a writer is the fact that journalists can write about whatever they're interested in, and that there's an audience for everything. At times, uncovering a story feels like unearthing a hidden treasure that brings joy to everyone who hears it. What Anah loves about Enochs: From my time here, one thing is incredibly clear; we love our school. It's beautiful not just thanks to the exterior, but the incredible hearts and minds that make our school unique. Our spirit is close to unparalleled, and the 2500-person family I'm a part of is one I'll never forget.

Gabriel Lazaro, Reporter

Gabriel Lazaro is part of the Class of 2026 at Enochs High School and serves as the videographer of the Eagle Eye videos. He also shadows the Eagle Eye website design and animation. After graduating high school, Gabriel plans on going to a university. He possesses an interest for fish, as he owns two himself. He usually finds himself busy with either school work, but when he has the time, he tries to create personal projects of random interest. He is open to community, having an open mind to joining others in conversation. What Gabriel loves about journalism: "It gives me and others a voice and the ability to share my abilities." What Gabriel loves about Enochs High School: "The school is safe and has many people, meaning that you'll eventually find any type of community you seek."
