Matt Chhim, Reporter
Matt Chhim, a member of the Enochs high school class of 2024, is serving this year as a reporter for The Eagle Eye. In regards to furthering education, he plans to attend MJC after high school to pursue a career in physical therapy. However, he hopes to continue his career in boxing as he has been an amateur boxer and training under the same coaches whom he has grown very close to since he was 12. He also enjoys weightlifting in order to supplement his training, enjoys martial arts and combat sports as a whole, and reading manga. Studying psychology and philosophy (specifically stoicism) as well as journaling has been also a hobby of his in order to help establish peace of mind. He’s always looking to help people and is determined to pursue his goals.
What Matt loves about Journalism: “The idea of allowing people to express themselves and they might not have had the opportunity to in the first place really makes me enjoy journalism”.
What Matt loves about Enochs High School: “Enochs has a generally positive community which gives a nice safe haven for most students who might not enjoy school and gives them something to look forward to”.
