Sophie Zehner, Managing Editor

Sophie Zehner, a member of the Enochs High School Class of 2023, is serving as Managing Editor in the second year of The Eagle Eye website. Sophie would like to major in Communications and minor in Journalism and/or English when she gets to college, in hopes of becoming a Journalist. Though she doesn't know what field of Journalism she wants to pursue, she knows she'll try to make the world of media and Journalism more truthful. Sophie would love to one day live in either San Francisco or New York City and travel the world, when she isn't burying herself in endless books or spending time with her family watching baseball. She spends her time reading, going up to the mountains, traveling the world, and going to many SF Giants games. Sophie loves traveling, experiencing different cultures, dancing and photography.

What Sophie loves most about journalism: "I love that, as a journalist, I'm able to find the truth underneath all the controversy. As a journalist, one must look past the bias and report only the truth without their words pushing their opinions. That's exactly what this class teaches us: to report the truth and to steer away from the bias. This class shows us that we're able to report on topics that we care and are interested in, and how we can change people's views on the world through the power of our words."

What Sophie loves about Enochs High School: "I love how diverse Enochs is and the different ideals everyone has. Enochs has many students with different hobbies, interests, thoughts, opinions, etc. Without said diversity, Enochs would be a regular high school without any morals or ideas to learn from."
